Description :
  • Operate and maintain moulding machines to produce high-quality automotive rubber components according to specifications and production schedules.
Responsibilities :
  • Operate moulding machines to produce automotive rubber components according to production schedules and quality standards.
  • Set up moulding machines by installing and adjusting moulds, dies, and fixtures to ensure proper alignment and functionality.
  • Load raw rubber materials into moulding machines, ensuring proper mixing, preheating, and material traceability.
  • Monitor moulding processes, including temperature, pressure, and cycle times, to ensure consistent product quality.
  • Perform visual inspections of moulded rubber components to identify defects such as flash, voids, and dimensional inaccuracies.
  • Measure dimensions of moulded rubber components using calipers, micrometers, and gauges to verify conformance to specifications.
  • Adjust machine settings and process parameters to optimize moulding cycles and minimize scrap rates.
  • Troubleshoot machine malfunctions and process deviations, implementing corrective actions to maintain production efficiency.
  • Perform routine maintenance on moulding machines, including cleaning, lubrication, and minor repairs.
  • Maintain accurate production records, including machine settings, material usage, and quality control results.
  • Adhere to safety protocols and procedures in the moulding area, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Collaborate with quality control personnel to address quality issues and implement corrective actions.
  • Participate in training programs to enhance skills and knowledge of moulding processes and equipment.
  • Assist in the development of standard operating procedures (SOPs) for moulding processes.
  • Communicate effectively with supervisors and coworkers to ensure smooth operation of the moulding department.
  • Ensure compliance with environmental regulations and waste management practices in the moulding area.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives to optimize moulding processes and reduce costs.
  • Participate in team meetings to discuss production goals, quality issues, and safety concerns.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area to promote safety and efficiency.
Technical Skills :
  • Moulding Machine Operation - Proficient in operating injection moulding machines, compression moulding machines, and transfer moulding machines used in automotive rubber component manufacturing.
  • Material Handling - Expertise in handling raw rubber materials, including mixing, preheating, and loading into moulding machines, ensuring material traceability and quality.
  • Process Monitoring - Skilled in monitoring moulding processes, including temperature, pressure, and cycle times, to ensure consistent product quality and adherence to specifications.
  • Quality Control - Knowledge of quality control procedures, including visual inspection, dimensional measurement, and functional testing of moulded rubber components.
  • Troubleshooting - Ability to troubleshoot machine malfunctions, identify process deviations, and implement corrective actions to minimize downtime and maintain production efficiency.
