Description :
  • Conduct precise dimensional inspections of automotive components using Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM) to ensure compliance with engineering specifications and quality standards.
  • Generate detailed inspection reports and collaborate with engineering and production teams to identify and resolve discrepancies.
  • Maintain and calibrate CMM equipment to ensure accuracy and reliability in measurement processes.
Responsibilities :
  • Conduct dimensional inspections of automotive components using CMM equipment.
  • Program and operate CMM machines to perform automated inspection routines.
  • Interpret engineering drawings and specifications to determine inspection requirements.
  • Verify the accuracy of measurements using precision measurement instruments.
  • Generate detailed inspection reports documenting measurement results.
  • Identify and document non-conforming parts and materials.
  • Collaborate with engineering and production teams to resolve quality issues.
  • Maintain and calibrate CMM equipment to ensure accuracy and reliability.
  • Ensure compliance with quality standards and procedures.
  • Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work environment.
Technical Skills :
  • CMM Operation and Programming - Proficient in operating and programming Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM) using software such as Zeiss Calypso or PC-DMIS.
  • GD&T Interpretation - Expertise in interpreting Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) per ANSI/ASME Y14.5 standards for automotive steel components.
  • Precision Measurement Instruments - Skilled in using precision measurement instruments, including micrometers, calipers, and height gauges, to verify dimensional accuracy.
  • Blueprint Reading - Ability to accurately read and interpret engineering blueprints and technical drawings to understand component specifications.

  • Communication - Clearly and effectively communicate inspection results, non-conformances, and potential quality issues to engineering and production teams.
  • Problem-Solving - Identify and resolve measurement discrepancies and quality issues through systematic analysis and troubleshooting.
