Description :
  • Responsible for overseeing and optimizing the heat treatment processes within the automotive steel component manufacturing facility.
  • Ensure efficient operation of heat treatment equipment and adherence to strict quality standards, contributing to the production of high-quality automotive steel components.
  • Collaborate with engineering and quality teams to troubleshoot issues, implement process improvements, and maintain compliance with industry standards.
Responsibilities :
  • Supervise and coordinate the daily operations of the heat treatment department, ensuring efficient workflow and adherence to production schedules.
  • Maintain and troubleshoot heat treatment equipment (furnaces, quenching tanks, etc.), including preventative maintenance schedules and emergency repairs.
  • Perform quality control inspections on heat-treated components using various methods (e.g., hardness testing, microstructure analysis, dimensional verification).
  • Monitor and adjust process parameters (temperature, time, atmosphere) to optimize heat treatment outcomes, ensuring adherence to specifications and minimizing defects.
  • Develop and implement process improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency, reduce cycle time, and optimize resource utilization.
  • Collaborate with engineers to troubleshoot process deviations and implement corrective actions, ensuring root cause analysis and effective resolution.
  • Train and guide team members on heat treatment procedures, safety protocols, and quality standards.
  • Maintain detailed records and documentation of heat treatment processes, including production logs, quality data, and process parameters.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards (e.g., ISO/TS 16949, IATF 16949, AS9100), environmental regulations, and safety protocols.
  • Participate in the development and implementation of new heat treatment processes or technologies, collaborating with engineering and R&D teams.
  • Contribute to the development and maintenance of the heat treatment process control system, ensuring data integrity and effective process monitoring.
  • Analyze and interpret data to identify trends, areas for improvement, and opportunities for optimization.
  • Maintain communication with internal stakeholders (engineering, quality, production) and external suppliers regarding heat treatment processes.
  • Contribute to the implementation and adherence to company safety procedures, ensuring a safe working environment for all team members.
  • Proactively identify and address potential safety hazards within the heat treatment department, ensuring compliance with industry best practices.
Technical Skills :
  • Heat Treatment Processes - Comprehensive understanding of various heat treatment techniques (annealing, hardening, tempering, carburizing, nitriding, etc.) used in automotive steel components.
  • Metallurgical Principles - Solid understanding of metallurgical concepts related to phase transformations, microstructure analysis, and material properties relevant to heat treatment processes.
  • Heat Treatment Equipment - Experience in operating and maintaining heat treatment equipment, including furnaces, quenching tanks, and associated controls.
  • Quality Control Methods - Proficiency in using various quality control methods (e.g., hardness testing, microstructure analysis, dimensional verification) to ensure conformance to specifications.
  • Process Optimization Techniques - Experience in implementing process optimization techniques (e.g., statistical process control, lean manufacturing principles) to improve efficiency and minimize waste.
  • Data Analysis and Interpretation - Ability to analyze and interpret data from heat treatment processes, identify trends, and make informed decisions regarding process adjustments.
  • Industry Standards - Knowledge of relevant industry standards (e.g., ISO/TS 16949, IATF 16949, AS9100) and their application to heat treatment processes.
